We came to Hawaii for vacation to visit a fellow Canadian in 1984 and after discovering North Kohala, never left! What a wonderful place to call ‘home base’. Since graduating at University of Alberta, and later, studying 2 years at a music college in Edmonton, I’ve enjoyed eclectic careers ranging from modeling, to teaching ESL in three countries, to hosting an educational music radio show, to working in architectural & city planning offices. But in Hawaii you can expect to adapt to many changes, and so I started my career in Real Estate Sales in 1987. Being a Realtor looks like “sales” from the outside, but it is really about going on a treasure hunt for an investor buyer, or skillfully helping people in major life transitions. In 2000 I opened my own office to assemble a team of professionals that shares my love and knowledge of the area, my commitment to integrity and customer service, and the fun of working as a Team. Because real estate has become an internet based business, and given the economic downturn, I closed my main street office in Hawi in July 2009, and set up a fabulous home office.
